  • Short one from the movie theatre.

A bit of background: the theatre in question has three types of cinemas: Gold Class, which only seats about 30 couples tops and has restaurant quality food and alcohol, VMax, which has larger seats, larger screen and the chairs have a mini table between them compared to a regular cinema, and your normal cinemas. Yesterday, my boyfriend took me to Gold Class as a bit of a treat since he won't be able to make it to my birthday party this weekend (going paintballing with some mates).

    Story:

we're in line, waiting to go and verify our tickets (he booked online ) when in the next line over (for the Vmax/Regular cinemas) an old gentleman is holding up the line. Turns out that he didn't want to see a movie, rather he wanted to sign up for their loyalty program and get a paper schedule of the movie listings. They didn't have any on them.

Old Guy: The service is just getting worse isn't it? Now I know it's not your fault...

At that point, my boyfriend dragged me away so we could head into Gold Class.

My thoughts on that though, were fairly simple.

    1) If it's not her fault, then why are you yelling at her? Ask for a manager, who might be able to explain why there aren't any paper schedules at the moment.

    2) Why are you holding up the line for that?!

    3) Do you not know how to turn on a computer?! the movie schedules are online, there are plenty of computers around the place and if you don't know how to turn on a computer, there are plenty of free courses that'll teach you HOW to use a computer.

Nooooooo. Don't send him to me. He'll be complaining every time he turns on a publicly accessible computer and the icon for the Internet is different (or just comes up automatically).

Ghengis, I'm Australian for starters. And the theatres in question are only located in so many areas around Australia. They're designed primarily for couples, but the whole place is so incredibly cool
