Putting this under sightings, even though it's happening at work as we speak. I do not wish to become a political debate of any kind.

The players are both US government workers here at the hotel taking "training" classes.

They are drunk and drinking more as they talk.

They are talking about who's & whats of politics today, which includes the whole nationalized health care debate & why they voted for so & so. kind of, well mostly.

    That isn't the sucky part.

They are in the lobby drunk, swearing, and talking about how they are taking jobs they never would have taken before (due to the economy). The cheap training they are taking, etc.

Some of you may not think this sucky, but to me this is them telling me they were making bank before & now are doing just fine but as surprised with what they are "willing" to do now. Oh the shock! Oh the woe!

And then they are basically bragging about their cheap training (which includes their cheap hotel rooms...gee thanks a-holes) and all while drunk.

    Nice. Rude. In public.

I work for the government and I couldn't imagine anyone complaining because this is their only option left. It's easy, it's good money, and it's hard to get fired from. Those guys were morons.

Holy cow. The man just turned down her advancements (cuz apparently he is too old for her, I think I heard by 25 years), she started crying, they started arguing over why, and now the guy just trudged off. I would make them go if they were making a larger scene & freaking out...what to do. Not the best representation of anyone.

I wonder what their superiors would say if they heard that...unless they were drunk...in pub-lic like their subordinates.

and it's hard to get fired from.
Although I'd be willing to bet that what's currently going on, if reported, would do the trick.

I work for the government; they're making me look bad. Assholes.

It depends on where you are working in the government. It certainly isn't easy if your expected to do several people's jobs because they aren't replacing workers and its certainly easy to be fired if the government decides you cost too much to keep.

At the government agency I worked at for 21 years that type of behavior was typical in the management ranks. I know it is what got a lot of them promoted.

After the night cleaning went through the training meeting room they used, apparently there was alcohol galore. So, here is my quesiton: Do govt workers training usually get supplied with alcohol? This was not a get-together, this was training. The only thing I pray is that it was privately bought & not supplied by...well the state tax payers.
