I don't really know where to put this. It's just a copy and paste from a blanket-fort type of thread on another board.
I went to work today and had to pick up the slack because my coworker couldn't get everything done due to a corporate visit. Also, said coworker is very new and doesn't have an idea of a schedule for getting things done. (In our department we work 95% independently). Then, when I wanted to leave, I needed to get to my purse, but couldn't because an ongoing remodel has put a giant cabinet everyone needs to get into right in my way. I get by, get my stuff, and end up trapped. I was in a hurry to get to the bank before close. So I took my life in my hands to drive in 4:00 traffic. I did make it, but saw an almost-rear-end, someone making a right turn from the left lane--at least he signalled!--and another near-miss involving me. I got to the bank only to find that there was a mistake and I did not, in fact, get added to my mom's account, which is a problem to solve because she's in another state. I called her and she instantly got all annoyed and wanted to talk to the teller. I wanted to tell her no and should have, because I knew he was going to tell her the exact thing he'd told me. Beside which, the mistake was on her branch's end and my teller couldn't do anything about it. I ended up apologizing to him because this is the same junk that happens to me at work. I am not in control of what corporate does, or what people in other locations do, but people like my mom want to rant at me. I am so glad to be home.
