Following my Dad on unfamiliar roads, I managed to accidentally cut this woman off (honestly I didn't even know she'd gotten into that lane so soon, it had only just started). I was sorry about it (what was she doing going faster in the right hand lane anyway?) but it's a little hard to tell someone you're sorry because they end up thinking that you're being patronizing. So I just let it go and hoped she might forgive me. Of course there's no luck in that.
So she follows me. Of course. That's standard, right? I don't look at her, don't encourage her. She follows me through two lights and at the third the road splits into two lanes and I had to be in the left one. So she guns it I guess so she can be next to me. Maybe she wanted to make angry gestures? I didn't look at her. In fact I didn't even make a move to look over until she was already slamming on her brakes because the whole line of traffic in the right lane had come to a grinding halt and her car was squealing to stop.
Now I feel worse about cutting her off because her anger about it could have destroyed her car. :\ I'm glad it didn't.
