We're expecting ice and snow tomorrow here . . . churches are already cancelling Sunday morning services and the stuff hasn't even started.
That's NC for you . . . at least the Piedmont region (where I'm at.) We're slap in the middle between the mountains and coastal plain, and most winter systems come through the west (over the mountains they tend to lose their punch a bit) and we get the remnants more often than not.
Of course the latest update (courtesy of my handy dandy Weather Underground app) we have a 50% chance of ice and snow after midnight w/accumulation of less than one inch (or as Bill Engvall would put it - enough to make a footprint.)
And tomorrow we have a 90% chance of snow and ice with accumulaton of 1-3 inches.
Even weirder, it was 75 degrees here in Greensboro yesterday! I was outside last night and it was still 70 degrees in my sweatshirt, listening to music on my iPhone on the front porch! Today the high was only 47 degrees and damp.
And folks were running around today in t-shirts! And wonder why they get sick with pneumonia of the butthole the following week (as my Grandma would put it.)Human Resources - the adult version of "I'm telling Mom." - Agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo (NCIS)

:If I had known we were so close we could have done lunch or dinner when we did the crosscountry banzai run last year.
EVE Online: 99% of the time you sit around waiting for something to happen, but that 1% of action is what hooks people like crack, you don't get interviewed by the BBC for a WoW raid.

Back to the topic at hand: our severe winter storm turned out to be a drizzly rainy day that stayed barely above freezing, so it's just wet and not slick.
And not a great deal of traffic out when I went out w/the SO for breakfast and a visit to the hospital (BFF had her baby girl Fri. night) due to the business and church closings/delays.
We'll wait and see how it looks in the morning as far as the roads go and the shelves when I get to work - wouldn't surprise me if the bread aisle is almost bare!Human Resources - the adult version of "I'm telling Mom." - Agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo (NCIS)
