So in my neck of Cheeseheadland, we have had snow for OVER 3 months (since before Thanksgiving). We have had small snowfall and we have had LARGE snowfalls. To many to count at this point in the winter season.

Tonight we get a minor snowfall. AND by the way people were driving, you would think this was Atlanta during the last 2 months.

COME on people. During winter storms people in my state normally drive like its the Indy 500 during blizzards.

BUT NOT TONIGHT....... going 15 MPH down a road that is a semi-highway (speed limit of 45MPH). Not just a few people BUT EVERYONE.
I'm lost without a paddle and headed up SH*T creek.

That's funny. Even most of the way through our winter here, people drive like they're NASCAR's latest champs. I'm not sure if the scenario in the OP is worse, or the scenario I had yesterday of a semi getting damn near close enough to my rear bumper for me to be in his front blind spot. Before you ask, yes I was going the speed limit. He was just impatient.

Whether he hits you or not, you're going to have soiled underwear. Yes mother, I had a fresh pair in the glove box.

We had the opposite, snow since Halloween, but last weekend for the first time in months, it went above freezing. Yes people, that causes ICE. Everybody was driving 80 like it was just snowpack, like they've all forgotten the existence of ice. I passed 2 cars on their roofs and 7 more in the ditch on my hour drive in the morning, to say nothing of the 96 car pile up that happened on the 400 just a couple hours south of me.

It does seem that every fresh snow fall seems to re-set the hamster brains in some people. What's that about learning from experience????

And my area is expecting another storm Monday Morning. Sigh. I'll be getting up early to drive in and avoid the crazies.

In any case, where I live people seem to crash just perfectly in blue sky and clear road weather...

While we almost never have to deal with snow here in Desert Hell, we do have a similar situation with rainfall. It's like people forget it even happens. "What this? Water fall from sky!" Then they do 90 through the rain to get out of the weather faster.

On the plus side, you DO have the 'Stupid Motorist Law', so I'm sure there's the occasional chuckle.

That's probably something like section 28-910 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.

We need that. People haven't figured out yet not to cross the arroyos when there's water in them. Year after year, there's PSA's to not play in the arroyos. Yet, year after year, they wind up fishing someone out of them.

To be fair, since we can go months on end without seeing, rain I think it's called, we have a tendency to get a little squirrely. Where else do you see people standing at windows, watching it? When my mom was working at Raytheon out at White Sands, someone was out from back east and heard something he'd never heard before. An announcement that it was raining so that people could go out and roll up their car windows.

When my mother moved from Desert Hell to OhMyGodTREES back in the 60's, people thought she was insane. Every time it rained (which was often) she'd go outside and have fun.
