  • Dear pyscho shooter, please stop shooting at cars.

    http://dcourier.com/main.asp?Section...646&TM=678.929

Yes, you haven't seriously hurt anyone and yes, the cars you shot probably are insured. But, you are scaring people and really messing up traffic.

Not only are you scaring people, you are also hurting the environment. All of those cars who used to take the freeways are now using surface streets. Cars are idling at stop lights and waiting in long lines at stop signs.

AND people are using more bandwidth as they use their phones to navigate unfamiliar roads. Keep it up and nobody will be able to use the internet to post about you.

    Just stop already.

    Sincerely,

Someone who is already sick of the traffic problems.

I remember the story about someone shooting cars on I-295 in Jacksonville, FL, in 1992. They arrested someone for it, but they dropped the charges. The shootings stopped.
This site proves Corey Taylor right. Man really is a "four letter word."

There was an incident a few blocks from me last week where somebody was shooting at cars. I never thought I'd say this, but in light of this article, thank goodness the shooter in my neighborhood was shooting at parked and unoccupied cars.
At the conclusion of an Irish wedding, the priest said "Everybody please hug the person who has made your life worth living. The bartender was nearly crushed to death.

Shooting at parked cars is a jerk move, but at least nobody is in danger of being shot or crashing from surprise.

Someone was detained and questioned then cleared. No cars have been shot since, so maybe the shooter got bored...or maybe he just got scared.

Now there are copycats with slingshots. I have a LOT of bad words to say about them as well.

This was happening in Carson, CA in the mid-70s, except the guy was sitting on an overpass and shooting at cars going underneath. My dad drove under it on the way home. We didn't live there for long.

I have a very good friend (he's like my big brother and I've known him most of my life, so he means a lot to me) who takes that route to work every day and he outright refuses to be scared off I-10. It really makes me worry, and I'm hoping they catch whoever it is soon.
The fact that jellyfish have survived for 650 million years despite not having brains gives hope to many people.

You would have to be incredibly dense for the world to revolve around you.

It looks like they have caught him: http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/...itt-jr-7671894

I hope that's the right guy, and I hope they throw the book at him. I've got family and friends in Phoenix, and I don't want them hurt by some jerkass getting his gun-totin' jollies.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Thank goodness and thanks old fashioned police work. I don't drive that freeway, but I have coworkers who do and were dealing with the traffic on the surface streets. Not to mention that there are a lot of snowbirds who spend a lot of money in Phoenix and we need their dollars. Yeah, I am sometimes annoyed by snowbirds and their RV's, but they are an important part of our economy and I hope they come back.

Interesting that they say "forensically linked". This probably means:

                  - Bullets recovered from the scene have been matched to the gun in the pawn shop.

                  - Fingerprints etc. taken from the aforementioned gun match the suspect.

This is spooky. Reminds me of the Beltway Sniper John Mohammad a few years back. Jay2KWinger lives in this area and probably remembers that period in dread...

I remember the Beltway Sniper. I didn't dread that period. Mom was paranoid as hell, and didn't want me to go to work, since she'd made the connection between the proximity of a Michael's hobby store in relation to the shooting locations, and the wholesale club where I worked was in a shopping center that had a Michael's.

I told Mom, "I'm not going to live my life in fear," and went to work despite her wanting me to call out. I wasn't going to let a psychopath like John Mohammad determine how I was going to live my life.

I didn't either, OTOH I did pay a LOT more attention to my surroundings and other people during that period...
