So I’m heading home last Friday. Its raining a bit, so traffic was a nightmare to begin with. I turn off, onto a main road, which is 2 lanes in each direction. I’m in the left lane, heading up to turn left at the light. Just to my left, a bit further up, but before the light, is an entrance to a shopping center. And in the right lane, next to me, but slightly further up, is an SUV. Who, all of a sudden, make an abrupt left turn from the RIGHT lane, almost causing me to t-bone him but thankfully there was enough room for me to slam on my brakes.
Traffic is steady in both directions. I thought MAYBE he’s turning into the shopping center, which still doesn’t excuse his boneheaded move. Nope, he was making a freaking U-turn! Across 3 lanes of traffic! But because its just 2 lanes with no extra room, he didn’t have enough room to actually complete the turn, and ended up perpendicular across both lanes of the opposite traffic, which meant he’d have to back up to complete his turn, so a K vs. a U. I leaned on the horn to show him what an idiot he was and the incredulous look on his face was amazing. Sorry moron, YOU break every traffic law there is, and look at ME like I’m the idiot? I think not.
