  • Wanna race?

Why is it, that whenever I take the MG out, there's always some fool who wants to race me? It never fails. No matter what traffic light I'm queuing at, there's some idiot either behind me, or to my left...who just *has* to rev their engine Is it my loud exhaust, lurid orange paint, or just because sports car=fast?

I admit, I engage in some 'spirited' driving from time to time, but that's usually on deserted roads, where putting one's foot down isn't a problem. But, I'm not about to beat the hell out of that car at the traffic lights--trust me, I really don't want to rebuild the engine again, nor do I want my insurance to go up!

I drive an 02 Jeep Wrangler, outfitted for recovery with a pretty low crawl ratio. Take it off road a lot. While it can crawl over and through most everything I point her at, she can't come off the line for beans. 1st gear is just to get the tires rolling. That being said...once I put the thrush muffler on and she got a nice little throaty growl going...I get challenged ALL the damn time by the ricer boys. Cracks me up to watch them hop their car at the light and squeal away disappointed I didn't bite.

It's even better when they attempt to lay rubber...but stall out miserably

I do believe I would tinkle myself just a bit if I got to witness someone doing that.
