So it would seem that last Tuesday night, a young man had a car accident near the swamp.
Could've been in the parking lot, could've been in any of the driveways into the lot, could've been on any of the streets surrounding the strip mall. I didn't find out where. But the guy's car hit another car.
This caused the young man to bolt into the clearance swamp, hide in either the fitting rooms or the bathroom, and call his friends to request a change of clothes.
Unfortunately for him, the driver of the other car, or at least somebody else, got the license plate of his car and a good description of him, so a great many police officers were dispatched to surround the strip mall, some of them with police dogs.
The friends brought him his change of clothes, he put them on, and sauntered out like nothing had happened--only to be quickly apprehended.
Betcha he had been driving a stolen car.
