Yet another idiot on the road. It's no wonder why I felt at home when working for the State Transport system.
I was on my way home from my parents' place, which is about a 10-15 min drive to where I live now. We get about 3 minutes outside of town to an intersection to a country road off the main highway. Someone is attempting to turn, but has to wait for the opposite side of traffic. I notice there is so not enough room to go around them, unless you want your car in a very large ditch, so I wait. People pile up behind me, but they realize what's going on and wait patiently. Note: My car is small. This becomes relevant. The car begins to turn and I start moving forward. That's when this GIANT ass truck comes up behind me and almost side-swipes my car to get ahead of the line. He is literally sideways in the ditch and is still almost hitting my car. He then takes off at a leizurely (spelling?) 80 mph down the highway. Now, this highway is 55, like most country, two lane highways in Ohio. You get pulled over for going 65. Of course, there is no cop in sight. Great.
Well, I follow this truck all the way into this small town before my town. It now becomes 45mph. What does the truck do? Go's about 35! Speedy has turned to Turtle. The road suddenly turns into a 4 lane highway after the stoplight. I get up along side of him to pass him. He realizes who I am and starts speeding up. There is a tractor trailer truck not too far in front of me in my lane. I look at the semi, look at the truck and finalize my plan. I flip the truck off and take off, passing the truck with inches to spare. They freak and hit the breaks (note: no one was behind him by this time.) I then turn off into a speedway and park.
Now I know I should not have done that, knowing it could be dangerous, but they needed a wake up call. I vow to never do that EVER again, because I actually got scared in the process, since both of these vechicles are very large compared to my little Honda Accord and had I hit one or the other, it would have ended up badly. It was still slightly fun to freak them out, but bad. *whacks self in the head with paper* Bad tithera, bad!
