What IS it with passing on a residential street????

So tonight around 8:30 I'm heading toward a green light, signalling my intention to nake a right turn. Speed demon behind me uses the left-turn lane to pass me & zips around the corner, only to be slowed down behind another car. Ha ha. Against my better judgement I catch up and follow speed demon to his/her neighborhood. I have a license plate # and am considering leaving a note stating he's lucky I'm not a hothead in SoCal.

That is the biggest headache of mine when driving: people who unsafely speed around you so that they can be blockaded by whatever traffic is directly ahead. WTF?? Wait two seconds. That's like rudely pushing your way in front of people who are waiting for the signal to cross the street. Pointless!

My preferred variant is when you occasionally get ahead of the moron and not driving like one.
