  • 3 near misses in as many seconds

On my way back from the car show I witnessed what had to be the least competent lane-changer I've ever seen.

I was in the middle lane of a 3 way highway - in the DeLorean - when a Kia minivan roared up on the left and cut right in front of me with inches to spare. I held down the horn button, seeing as he damn near side-swiped the Greatest Customer's car, and of course it would have been the one body panel (left front fender) that is the MOST expensive one to replace because it's the rarest.

Then he immediately tried to go from the middle lane to right lane, except there was a Subaru in the way and he had to cut back into the middle lane. Thankfully I'd taken my foot off the gas when he cut me off the first time so I wasn't so close to him any more.

He sped up a bit, cut in front of the Subaru, then passed and cut off a Ford in the center lane.

All of this happened in a matter of a few seconds. 3 near-misses. And i couldn't help but notice the fat dent in the back of the minivan, which was undoubtedly the result of similar stupidity taking place in the past. Obviously they didnt' learn their lesson the first time.

But on the plus side, at least he used his turn signals.

Just out of curiosity, where is the horn button in a DeLorean?

(Reason I ask, I've seen them in weird places on some cars, like on the end of the turn signal stalk in a '78 Ford Fairmont to name the worst example, and any vehicle that has the ignition and trunk keyed alike and the doors on a separate key is likely to have the horn somewhere unexpected. Yes, I was a locksmith once, and I tend to identify cars by their keys: e.g. Chrysler ignition and GM door on one keyring --> Avanti II.)

It's on the end of the turn signal stalk.....yeah, it's kinda dumb.
