We had to run some errands at the Mart of Wall after the paper route the other morning, which mean driving through downtown at around 4am. Now, there's almost no traffic downtown at this hour, which means you can time the lights. By going just over the limit (around 26-27mph), you can hit all the lights just as they turn green all the way through downtown.
Well, despite being 4am, I somehow ended up behind this tourist (out-of-state plates) who couldn't figure it out. He would speed (probably getting up to almost 35mph), hit the inevitable red light, and stop shortly before it turned green again, and would start off a bit slow, forcing me to slow down as I caught up with him.
At one point, it turned green, and he did not go. I had to stop behind him. The "walk" sign turned to a flashing "don't walk" sign. He still wasn't going. Idk if he was drunk or texting or what (I am thinking drunk, since even if you aren't looking right at the light, it is dark enough outside you should notice the change in the glare around you when the light changes). I honked my horn. That finally made him go. Fortunately, possibly-drunk guy turned onto a side street (into an industrial area at 4am? hmm...) and I was able to get to my destination without further traffic.

Hubby relayed me this one. Here, two side-streets connect with the main road a few yards apart. The side-streets are on opposite sides of the main road, and you can easily see the two intersections from each other.
Hubs was on one of the side roads, turning towards the other road. Another car on the other road was turning towards him. He had enough room, so he made his turn.
The other car honked.
Hubby was thinking Come on, you had plenty of room! Then he looked in his rearview. The car behind Hubs had followed him through the stop-sign and cut the other car off.
