My BF & I went on a road trip this past weekend. In all honesty the sightings of bad (or stupid) driving was so many I don't remember them all. So I'll narrow it down to a few that really stood out for me. For the most part we were doing 10mph over limit... except in Arkansas. There's been news reports of people in AR being stopped & arrested on I-40 in AR for "looking suspicious" so we kept to the limit there so we wouldn't stand out. Other than that it was 10 over on the highways.
And now the sightings...
The Good
Both of us made a point of letting truckers in ahead of us because it's hard for them to slow down or speed up. We would signal them by winking our headlights. Then, after they got ahead of us they would flash the hazard lights for a couple of seconds - trucker-code for "Thank you".
The bad
Tailgaiters must DIAF.
First one (well first memorable one) was getting stupidly close... I was in the left lane and had a semi truck on my right. And cars ahead of me. Where the fuck do you think I can go?
Brake check. He backed off enough.
Second one was on the last highway on the way home. Fucker was so close to my bumper a brake check WOULD have made contact... Actually I would have done one... but my boyfriend insisted I let him through. ... so the driver went and got within an inch of the next car on the road too. Cos he has no incentive to stop.
DIAF.
O wait, you probably will, dumbass tailgaiter...
Kinda funny - and I'm a bitch
Had some bitch in a fancy car cut me off. Later when I was changing lanes, I went to change lanes and almost cut her off... I swear it wasn't on purpose. But I'm sure she'll think twice about riding in someone's blind spot again.
Later down the road she tried getting too close to my bumper - probably fuming that I almost cut her off... I swear, my windshield really DID need to be cleaned! The fact that the spray arced back and hit her fancy windshield and spotted it up... just icing on the cake.
She did stay away from me after that though.
