Hubby and I decided to go out for burgers and saw something that made us wish there had been a cop in the area. To set this up, we live on the west side of the interstate in a suburb of Phoenix with a name no one can seem to spell correctly. On the other side of the interstate is an office park with the only IKEA in the state. Because of this, there tends to be quite a bit of traffic until about 8:30 pm.
We get over the overpass and on our way when we see a semi pull off one of the more spectacular traffic no-nos I've ever seen. He pulled into the first turnoff, apparently decided it wasn't wide enough for his rig, pulled back out into what would have been oncoming traffic (thankfully the road wasn't busy at that point!
) for about 30 feet, continued to the intersection with the light where he pulled into the turn lane and promptly made a turn against the light. We were a few car lengths behind him and watched all this in utter disbelief!
