  • For those about to pass...Irv salutes you

Driving to the small-town store this morning, I come up to a hill on the two-lane country road--to find a black Suburban coming down it IN MY LANE trying to pass a dump truck.

So I'm going "OH F***!" and hitting the brakes and getting over to the side as far as possible. The Suburban completes its pass and swerves back abruptly into the proper lane, but not all that far away from me.

The Suburban was already in my lane at the top of the hill. So there's a very good chance the peckerwood driving it started his pass in a no passing zone.

I hope he enjoyed me reminding him he is number 1 as he passed. With the way he drives he's got to be number one with a lot of other people.

I can't believe how some people drive! Don't they realize that they are in a huge hunk of metal going at (faster than they think) speeds?? I guess they don't know how physics work!

I doubt half the people on the roads these days even know what physics means, much less how it works.

If it were a double solid yellow line in the middle of the road, then it's a No Passing Zone.

Not only is he going to be "Number 1" with a lot of folks with his driving, he may not be driving much longer if he does end up in a wreck.

Car-ma is watching him. And it'll get him when he least expects it.
