So you know how (in the uk anyway) you get given the example of if a ball rolls out in the road slow down because a kid is likely to follow it? Well this is what I saw earlier:
It's about 4pm and getting dark I was walking along the high street and pass a small group of boys about 10/11 years old messing about with a football.
All of a sudden I hear that horrible screech of brakes and turn around to see that the ball had obviously fallen in the road and one of the kids had run out to get it.
Thank god he wasn't hit, the driver and the kid looked pretty shaken. Luckily due to the side roads and traffic lights plus bus stops it's pretty impossible to go faster than about 15mph at that time of day but still could have been pretty nasty if he had been knocked down.
His mate had some good advice though, shouting at him as he came back from the middle of the road, "You're going to be one of those idiots that gets killed like on that video we got shown in school!"
I'd listen to your friend kid, he knows what he's talking about.
