  • You weren't really trying to pass me now, were you?

So I'm driving home from work one day last week, and I turn off the 3 lane county highway, onto a narrow, two lane residential road. It's a main road, so it gets a lot of traffic, but its narrow. Speed limit is 30 or 35, I think, but goes down to 25 when you get closer to the school right off the road.

I see the car behind me, and it looks like she can't stay in our lane, as she's almost halfway over and I'm thinking wow, she really can't drive. The road is also hilly and curvy, and as we're coming to the light, I see her swerve over again, but she's looking to the other side of the road, and I realize she's thinking of PASSING me on this narrow road! where none is allowed! I just shook my head, and thankfully at the light, she turned off.

But really? It wasn't like I was crawling, and I was also behind a line of cars, so if she tried to pass me, good chance she would have caused an accident!

    I'm not surprised.

People have used empty merge lanes, the ditch, any available space, sometimes nearly going into the ditch or hopping a curb, just to go around me.

Wow, blas...tell me, do you have a paper in your car with tallies on it counting the number of idiots doing that stuff? Catwoman, I'm not surprised either. It seems that people get behind the wheel of a vehicle and forget their brains at home!

Not in my current car, but I used to keep a tally of how many vehicles only had one headlight in my old car.
