  • What is it about the holiday season...

...that causes people to drive as if their heart's desire is to never see their family again?

Drivers lunging across three lanes of busy traffic without a signal, cutting off big rigs in icy conditions (sometimes by inches), speeding on ice, pulling out without looking, and a multitude of other insane behaviors.

Oh, people do that the rest of the year too, but what is it about the holidays that makes it almost the norm?

Uh, they do that here every Friday....

You've just described my daily morning commute to a T, and that's been since February this year.

Difdi that is just normal Seattle driving. Cutting off a semi is the state sport. It is so much fun watching these "drivers" on an icy road. Just wait till we get our first snow, then the fun will begin. I usually try to stay home on the first day of snow because of the idiots on the roads.

I don't have hot flashes. I have short, private vacations to the tropics.

Same here, but it's something that happens to me year round.

Speaking of Seattle, my grandparents live not too far away from there and use that big major highway, and are always complaining of the idiots driving. Though, their biggest complaint is usually about the up-river-stupid Canadians
