Coming home the other night, we pulled into our apartment complex. There was a red SUV that was idling in our parking spot unloading a passenger. He started to finish parking.
Uh, no.
I had Hubs (who was driving) use his turn signal to indicate that no, that was our spot.
The SUV finally got it and backed out, and went to the empty lot next door to park. (It's actually the high school's lot; they have so much surplus parking they don't care if the nearby apartments use them, as they already rent dozens of spots to the university and other businesses and still have dozens more leftover.)
The next morning, the SUV was still there. He would've parked in my spot all night had we not gotten home at that point.
The funny thing is that around the corner of the building, Hubby's parking spot had been open for a month. His car went into the shop, and never left since the mechanic officially declared it dead. He's just now gotten a new truck. His spot isn't in use for over a month, and no one tries to steal it. I use my spot daily, and other people try to park in it...
