A semi drives by a bank...

...and destroys the fence in their outdoor lounge area.

I don't know all the details, but here's what I know.

A Mal Mart semi truck leaves the gas station parking lot, after asking Lazy Ass where Mal Mart in town is.

He decides to leave through the bank parking lot next to us, instead of ours, which is designed for semi traffic. The bank's lot isn't.

As he's rounding the building, he hits the fence in the outdoor lounge area of the bank, making it instant scrap metal.

Police involved. Truck and trailer hooked up to a tow truck right now. No idea if driver arrested. I'll find out tomorrow when I go to the bank.

I checked as I was leaving last night. The semi also damaged the building, as well. It also took a chunk out of the roof, as well.

Wow. So the bank was closed? If people had been in there....

The bank was open, however just the drive-thru was open at the time. There's no damage to the inside of the building at all. It's just damage to the outside.

still that's not exactly cheap to repair.... especially since you need to be sure there's no structural damage, and be sure there's no weak spots left behind for criminals to exploit or anything like that.

I remember talking to a guard who was on gate duty when a departing semi spun his boom-shacka-lacka around... while he was in it.
