As many of you know from the general work chat thread, we are completely redoing our entire players club and slot system right now, this of course has caused a lot of confusion, which is understandable (mainly because a lot of the confusion has been on my side of the desk)... and of course the downright sucky.
What do you mean you can't give me my bonus cash?
First of all, I never said you couldn't get it... I told you that you needed to bring in your coupon to get it... technically you are supposed to be bringing it in anyway, we never normally collect them because frankly it is normally easier to just do a reprint than to enter the actual coupon, but guess what, that isn't an option this time.
Second, we have told you, all of you, that you should have the coupons with you just in case.
Third, we have warned you that we would be doing a system update soon, problems should be expected.
Fourth, we are doing the update to address common guest complaints, so really, you have no one to blame but yourself for this situation.
Why is my favorite machine offline?
As mentioned above, if you hadn't complained so much about the problems with the machines, we wouldn't be upgrading them all.
Are you closing?
Yes, we have a bunch of signs saying that we are upgrading our systems to better serve you because we are closing.
Yes, we are absolutely dead right now... no that isn't an indication that we are going out of business either, we have a very loyal base of regulars, and they actually paid attention to us when we warned them that we would be doing upgrades this week and are putting off their visits so they don't have to deal with the chaos of the changeover.
But you've taken out so many machines, are you sure you aren't closing
This is a valid point, we actually do have about 100 less slots now than we did a year ago... did I mention that those were the 100 least used slots, we still have plenty of capacity to meet the demand we anticipate (hell, that we can handle, right now the bottleneck is our hotel, it makes no sense to have 750 slots in a resort with 300 rooms, which is why we removed a bunch of slots)... oh, and again, this was in response to guest complaints about how cluttered and claustrophobic the casino felt.
How dare your shuttle not run at 11pm!
Not related to the changeover, but had a guest irate that the shuttle wasn't running at 11pm... everywhere it officially runs to closes at 9pm, so why would it still be running at 11? Oh, but unofficially it will go to the gas station... yeah, but you can walk there... in fact, from the hotel tower you were in, you walked further to come to the lobby to demand a shuttle than if you had just walked there directly from your room. Good job.
