I work at a restaurant supply company, and we seems to attract these annoying customers who seems to think that all contracts are just formalities and that our company serves them and them alone. You would've think that since these people run restaurants they would've learned a thing or two about SCs.
SC: "Hey, why did you charge me $X?! The agreed price was $Y! What kind of business are you guys running here? !@#$%"
They don't seem to understand the following:
1. The price was a bulk purchase price, I'm not giving a discount when you sneakily try to reduce the amount every month while trying to scam me for the same price. Some times they don't even try to order the agreed amount to begin with.
2. In addition to #1, you're also not getting a discount for buying slightly more, and don't come back for another two years.
3. Similarly, don't expect me to give bundle pricing when you're sneakily switching products away to other suppliers and only buy the cheapest one from us. You get everything from us, we give you discount. Otherwise, no deal.
4. We have a minimal order for delivery, quit trying to get away with ordering less....ESPECIALLY when I already know you're the type that always try to pull #1-#3.
5. Price changes. Don't rage on us when we raise the price by 1% after a year.
Usually they would start the "I'll buy from someone else" threat. Good riddance.
We couldn't care less because we know that eventually their "other suppliers" will raise their price also after realizing how unprofitable it is to deliver one box of product to hundreds of these vultures a day, sometimes just breaking even after the gas is deducted, while their accountants/sales/drivers/receptionists are all fuming because they're doing so much work for nothing.
We might be losing 10% profit but our workload got 50% easier, and we can then focus on selling to new (and better) customers instead.
We're running a good business, no thanks to you, SCs.
