  • Well, we got had.

This happened last week. SC comes up to the desk.

SC: We'd like to get a different room. The AC is making a foul smell.

I make the changes. Turns out there were still people in the old room as well as the new room. And his CC declined and was unable to pay for both rooms.

Bonus story from the same group: One of them asks me for a phone charger. He changes his mind because he's worried that even though it's a micro USB, that it might mess up his phone if the charger is meant for a Verizon and he's on T Mobile.

My phone must be really messsed up because at home I use the same charger for my phone as I do for my Kindle.
To right the countless wrongs of our days... We shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise...Oh, what a wonderful world such would be...

About trying to get 2 rooms for the price of one - I've had that happen too. I always make sure the old room is empty and any keys for it are disabled after the registered guest gets moved to a new room.

We had that happen to us when I worked at the motel before. I hope you brought the banhammer swiftly down upon them upon realizing what had happened.

I always ask for the old keys back first, and before re-renting that room I always check it. Mostly because the first thing people do in a room even when they are just viewing it, is they use the bathroom. It aggravates me every time!
