I've only read about this kind of thick headedness on here so I got to experience it for myself...
A security guard brings up this guy who is having trouble with his Atm card. I then ask what the problem is.
SC: My account balances are switched! When I look at the balance in YOUR machine the amounts are on the wrong cards!
I'm confused since our atms don't have that kind of power and dude I work in a casino cage I have NO control over anything relating to your accounts.
Me: If you like I can go out there and assist you at the atm.
We are nice and leave the cage to help people at the ATM's. Ours are a bit confusing sometimes so we would rather go out there and help than hear them bitch later :P
I go out there and the guy shows me the balances on each card. Dude was loaded. I tried not to look. I really didn't want to know his balance. But he yelled it out to god and everybody.
Me: What I would do is call YOUR bank and have them fix it. It's a bank issue and it has nothing to do with out atms.
SC: Well, I want money on this card but its the other card's amount!
(it was like talking to a wall)
ME: Right, well then what if you pull the money out on the one that you want to anyway?
He had more than enough money. Then I suggested maybe if the cards were really switched then to pull it off the one with the right balance.
SC: but where would the statement go to then?
Me: Okay, how about before you take any action you call the number on the back of your card and have your bank straighten things out?
SC: But YOUR Atms did this. They switched my cards...
ME: Sir, this is a BANK issue and has nothing to do with our casino.
The security guard was there with me the whole time just kind of listening. Then he started to try and help me get it through this guy's head.
SG (security guard) Sir, she's right, it's a bank issue and you have to take it up with them.
We say this like I swear 10 times each.
SC: ....So do you think it could be the bank?
Me and SG:

At this point the security guard whispers for me to go and he'll handle it. I ran like hell.
