    "She quit?...OMG!!!!"

    I quit Wal-Mart on Thursday & ever since then I've heard from various friends who work there that the shit has hit the fan. The lead CSM has been on a hissy fit because of not just me who's quit but several other cashiers as well. PLUS a lot of people have been calling off sick so they don't have a lot of cashiers to work with.
    I've heard that ever since Thursday that the lead CSM has been taking her frustrations on EVERBODY on the front end. She's being a SUPER BITCH.
    I busted my butt & was a pretty fast cashier who knew how to move a LONG line of people quickly through the register. I've heard it said..."We like going in her line. She's quick & blah blah blah". Well, now I think she's pissed because she'll probably have to be on the register longer instead of wasting time chatting away with management up by the podium. Sucks to be her, huh?
    See...that's what Wal-Mart gets when they keep treating cashiers like dirt.
    IF the lead CSM isn't carefull she'll end up being fired for retaliating against the front end. I'd pay to see that....
    People have their limits & I reached mine the other day.

              When I worked over nights, we had to do the cheer. It is very, very true. Sometimes, they would make associates do the cheer instead of having management lead. It was one of the biggest bunches of crap I ever had to deal with there.

                Okay, you guys lost me.

                Now, I have heard a lot of corporate bull<CAR HORN> in my time, I admit. After all, I worked for none other than <SPROING!>ing T.G.I. Friday's for over eight <FIRE BELL>ing years.

                But what....the <AIR RAID SIREN>....is the CHEER?

                    When I worked there, I went to a meeting once. They done the cheer, and I was disgusted. I am glad to say that I have never done the cheer. I always had to be outside getting the carts.

                      This is true.

                      Or at least it was about ten years ago when I was in high school and was at the local Wally World bright and early one Saturday morning for a bake sale for a school group (back then they were pretty good about letting groups drop by and have bake sales or car washes or sell candy bars).

                      We were setting up our table and a bunch of peons--whoops, make that "associates"--gathered nearby and started doing the cheer.

                      All I can recall is a lot of clapping, football-style cheers (Gimme a W! Gimme an A! Gimme a "I'm going to be violently sick now!", okay I made that last one up), and a "squiggle wiggle" in which everybody had to wiggle their ass.

                      Did I mention I am so very happy to not have been hired by Wal-Mart?

                        I feel the same way. Applied last summer for a Receiving position at the new store near my home - but I don't think the interviewer liked me all that well (I have a tendency to just be bluntly honest during interviews - don't suppose that's intimidating to some people, do you?) So I'm thinking that's why he gave me a crap story about the Receiving positions being filled already. Not to mention their starting pay (7 bucks an hour??? I make almost twice that and I have 17 years grocery store experience.)

                        Heard they were one Receiver short Grand Opening (half the vendors I worked w/at the Kitty also work this WM and none of them have one GOOD thing to say about them.)

                          IFP is the only one who has tried... do they seriously have to do a group ass wiggle?????
