One way you can pay at Subway is to use the student ID Cards with a magnetic strip on them. The magnetic strip is also INCREDIBLY cheap and easy to get messy or demagnetize.
Naturally some students around here have no freaking idea of this and don't have this brilliant idea to carry around cash or have their parents sign them up for a debit card.
And we can't manually enter it because guess what - the machine requires us to run the card through so it can confirm the information.
SEriously, who thought THAT was a good idea?
Natually we have instances where the card has been demagnitized and they don't have another way to pay, and keep insisting that their card will work despite that it didn't work the five times we've tried to use it. Sometimes this happens to the same person more than three times.
Seriously, just withdraw some cash or ask your parents to send you a $20. -.-; Especially because not all businesses in this state (hell, even this town) will accept the student ID cards as payment. There's a GROCERY STORE nearby the campus that seriously doesn't accept the student ID cards at all. o.o
