As I've said before, my customers are clients, and my clients are doctors' offices and hospitals. Calling a client is an absolute last resort if I cannot find the information I need anywhere else (patient history, Internet, on the requisition itself).
Yet again and again I get asked this, sometimes even by doctors:
"Isn't it on the req? It should be on the req."
I'm always very polite when I tell them I looked there first, but one of these days I'm going to snap and say, "No, I called you just for poots and giggles."
