My mom, dad and I went out to dinner earlier tonight and we had a young waitress as our server. Her hairstyle was short, kind of spiky and colored dark, the sort of thing a young person in their early 20s would wear nowadays. Nothing all that really remarkable, and I actually thought it looked nice - something I'd wear, if my hair wasn't such Shite (but that's another story).
My dad (who has a history of commenting inappropriately) felt the need to ask our server, "What'd you do to your hair?" It was said in sort of a joking tone, but the way it came out, to my mom and me (who were both embarrassed) it sounded rude. To her credit, the server was nice about it. I'm sure she was thinking "what a fucking asswipe" though. -_-;
