I think I see the cause - Donny and Dana Donot are cohabiting. Why the same last name if they're not married? They CAN'T get married, due to a pesky law about brothers and sisters. Inbreeding DOES tend to have negative effects, so this would explain both them and their children.
That's not entirely true. You can have the same last name as someone and not be related to them.

Or different last names and be totally related. My ex's two youngest are full siblings, but their surnames differ. (She divorced the schmuck after a few months, remarried him a few years later and then eventually dumped him again. K1 was while he was dumped, K2 while they was hootched.)

We can only hope...but I think we all know there's a Dana Donot out there who's married / engaged / cohabiting / friends-with-benefits with this idiot and they've probably already had a dozen equally moronic children. And the cycle continues...
Agreed. Idiocracy is best kept as fiction, not prophesy.

I read it as "Donny Donuts" and expected a story which somehow included glazed goodness. This was pretty excellent, though.
          I'm so glad I wasn't the only one . . . .

In addition to Donny Donot and Goofus, there was Private Snafu of WW2 fame.

WARNING: Clicking on the above video link may result in the loss of several hours of your time.
Too damn funny. He sounds like Bugs Bunny . . . and looks like George Bush.

The only way the idiot in the OP could have made it worse would have been if he drove the car up a tree or up the side of a building....and then crashed it into a police car.

The 'Donny DoNot' reference made me think of this video, even though it's sorta off-topic. It's in German, but you'll get the gist of it.

There's at least one version on YouTube with English dubbing. I was thinking about that same video.

Yes, shop class. Mr. Wood (really!). We saw those filmstrips with the "beep" to change the slide...that's how old I am. The "star" was "Primitive Pete" a rather dull-looking caveman in a fur onesie. "Pete" could never learn not to use screwdrivers as chisels, pliers as hammers, levels as hammers, power tools as hammers...well, you get the idea.
So, Primitive Pete was a meme with those who went to school during this period of American history.
Here's the original Primitive Pete film, for those who want to see it. I don't know if Part 2 was ever made, or ever put on YT if it was.

edit: The whole thing, minus opening credits but in a better transfer, is here.

The second video you posted is parts 1 and 2 combined.

I remember the Primitive Pete films! And yes, there was a part 2; it had Mrs. Primitive Pete, a cavewoman who was even worse with hand tools than her husband. And yes, it was played for comedy, "everyone knows girls can't use hand tools." (Yes, that rather irked the budding young feminist I was when I saw it in grade school.)
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

I'm surprised Skippy hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet... it's definitely worth a read.
