Had a cart shift today, and guess who starts bellowing at me from the handicapped spot to fetch him a Mart Cart? Thankfully, my manager just happened to enter the foyer as the guy was berating me and a fellow cart jockey about the uncharged MCs we had on-hand, and commented on how LOUD the guy was, so I was able to tell her how unpleasant he was to deal with and it wasn't the first time he was belligerent and demanding towards me (never with a "please" or "thank you" in his vocabulary), and she said she'd pass on the information to the higher-ups. All I know is, I'm not dealing with this asshole next time.

well, when the world revolves around a single person, that person is able to channel vast quantities of superheated air and blast it full force at those of us who are in orbit of that person.

This--irritates me something fierce and are one of my biggest peeves. I --am disabled and I ride a mobility scooter. On the rare occasion I go to the store and I am NOT riding my own scooter (say my son or friend who drives brings me) I make my own damned way into the shop, slowly, as I walk with a cane and from there, choose a mart cart--I also LEAVE IT INSIDE!; usually right where I found it and plug the SOB back in, so the NEXT rider has a full charge.
If you can get yourself to the store, then you can get yourself inside--whether you're walking or using some form of mobility aid. Anything else is just being a lazy, entitlement whore, IMNSHO.
Then to verbally abuse the employees? hope you can reach everything asshat,because no one's going to reach it down TO you. with that attitude!

When my grandmother was still alive, I had no problem walking into the store, driving a cart out, getting her, and then getting her to the car and driving the cart back inside when we were done. I don't think it's a huge deal to drive the carts outside, but leaving them there is pretty rude.

Was at a U.S. Walmart recently. As I was entering, I spotted an employee and asked him where the power carts were supposed to be stored, explaining that 2 had been left outside (one in the fire lane, one in the "van ramp deployment - no parking" zone between 2 handicapped parking spaces). My wanting to know was so that I could take them back to the proper place. He asked me if I needed a cart - couple issues with that.

1: Do I look like I need a cart?

2: I had just told him about the locations of 2 carts I had walked past. If I had needed a cart, I could have taken either of them.

Wolfie, not everyone who needs a cart looks like it. May disabilities (like my husband's back injury) are not readily visible. As far as his answer to the second one, he could have assumed you were telling him the ones outside weren't charged, or could have just answered from force of habit, since most people who ask where they are need one.

When I worked at Hel-Mart, we'd have elderly women who would walk in, then demand the electric cart that was right beside her vehicle. No, she didn't want the one that was plugged in and fully charged. It HAD TO BE THE ONE RIGHT NEXT TO HER CAR!!!111 I did my time pushing the damn things into the building.. I wasn't about to go out, find it deader than last week's horse, and have to push it into the store just because some entitled biddy was being a picky bitch trying to lord it over a poor peon.. who'd just put in her two weeks notice and didn't have any more shits to give. I mean, what was management going to do? Fire me? (Not when they were begging me to stay. Or at least the ones not directly over me, that is.)

Yeah, biddy had to make do with the fully charged cart that was already inside. I wasn't paid enough to put up with that crap.
