Yes, I was actually asked that while cleaning the lobby. I just stared at the person blankly like are you serious then turned and walked away. I doubt he complained
Hey, when I worked at B&N, not only did I give people directions to Borders, I sometimes called Borders for them, to see if they had the book that we didn't!
I loved it when people complained about how expensive the craft supplies were at our store and then asked where they could get them elsewhere
most of our stuff we imported and you couldnt find it anywhere else.... and when I told them that they either a. didnt believe me or b. huffed and puffed and tried to get a discount.

I guess I should clarify
I work in a movie theater
Our competition, 99% of the time, has the exact same movies we have
Its very similar pricing, we might even be a little cheaper I dont know
They have slightly different concessions but I dont know how much they have that we dont
I was so excited when our theatre - charging $6.75 for a movie- got some competition! Finally, I thought, the prices will go down! I can't wait to see a cheaper movie here!
The new theatre's price? $6.50.
*sigh* Oh well, it will go down in time.

I've had ppl call my call center to find out the name of some car rental place down the street. I DON'T KNOW! I love that these ppl think that becuz we work NEAR a car rental place that we're going to waste our time giving them info like that. Honestly, I didn't know the name of the place. *sigh* You wanna know? Drive over to the place & find out.

The new theater that just opened in my city is $9.00 for a full priced adult ticket. Our old and busted theater (opened in 1988) charges the same (and it might have been more before the new theater opened).
I do like the early bird matinee at the new theater. $5 for any movie before 2pm. I've taken advantage of the price several times this summer (school district employee).
One theater in my area has a matinee of $7.50 and the other is $6.25. There's only one theater that's about $6 and even on the weekends the matinee is until 6...only problem is that there's only one film playing there at a time and it always seems to be the one I don't want to see.
I wonder why certain cities have such high movie theatre prices.
Our matinee is $6. So you at least get a nice price cut there.
I live in Southern CA.. Unless the theater is independent or a dollar theater type of place (I haven't seen one for years), the prices are all pretty much the same.
I love being able to tell people where to find stuff when we don't carry it. Of course, I don't live where I work, so I don't usually know where anything is. But golly gee, I sure does just *love* to help
