Is what I wanted to say to this old dumbass.
The lobby is really close to guests' rooms, so we've stopped any TV watching there after 12 am. This old trucker type comes up and demands the TV remote, and I say we can't. WHHHYYYYY NOOOOTTT Well because people are trying to sleep there. He doesn't care for that, and then paces around a bit.
WHHHHYYYY ISN'T THEREEEE ANY SIGNS EXPLAINING THIS?? he wanted to know.
I don't know, but that's our policy, I say.
Some people, when they hear the word 'Policy' they take it really bad. They scream, hoot, holler, and cry. The trucker was one of them.
THERE IS NO SIGN THERE IS NO SIGN THERE IS NO SIGN SO THAT MEANS IT'S NOT TRUE!!! he says over and over. And over.
While I'm stunned by this logic, he rants and raves about policy and signs and the fact that there was no sign and how could people know the policy if there was no sign and he wanted to see a sign with the policy of no TV watching after midnight!
I know that I could've just printed it out on my computer, but I knew it wouldn't fool this old fucker so I took a deep breath, calmed myself, and told him very professionally that the manager makes the rules, and if he wanted to, he could speak with him since he he obviously didn't believe me and thought I had made it up.
I NEVER SAID THAT YOU WERE LYING I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY I CAN'T WATCH TV IF THERE IS NO SIGN NO SIGN NO SIGN AT ALL THERE SHOULD BE A SIGN!
He left, but not for good, oh no, he comes back and bleats NO SIGN NO SIGN NNOOOOO SIIIIGN over and over and demanding the remote. I had to call the manager, who wasn't pleased, but everytime I got him on the phone Dumbass would scamper off before he could verify to him what I said was the truth and I didn't just pull it out of my ass.
I wonder what would've happen if I told him that people didn't read signs, his pea brain would've exploded I bet.
Plus he kept saying how he didn't mean to cause trouble, oh really? I shudder to think how you are when you do mean to!
