A few weeks ago, my manager J says to me, "I meant to tell you, a customer complained about you."
My heart sinks. J doesn't sound too serious, but still I'm a little worried.
J says, "A lady said 'I want to complain. I found a foreign object in my popcorn.' She had your name badge."
I know I lost my name badge a few days before, while I was working on the servery. I admitted, "I did lose it. I looked for it but couldn't find it."
J carries on, "The lady says, 'I could have been hurt, I could have been pricked!' "
J, now laughing, says she was desperately trying not to laugh. She apologised and said she would make sure it didn't happen again.
