  • He spits on me....

and I am the one that ruined his Thanksgiving!!!

Some cheap motherfucker comes in looking for a room. Pulls up in a new Escalade, and then starts giving me crap about how he needs the "best rate possible so his family doesn't have to sleep in the car" bit.

I ask how many in his family, he says 2 adults, 2 children. As I am checking him in, he asks if he can get extra pillows and blankets so "some of the people" can sleep on the floor. I say "I thought you wanted the double queen room, that should be fine for a family of 4, right?". He has this confused look on his face, he then realizes that he lied to me when he says 2 adults and 2 children. Turns out there are 8 people total!! 4 adults, 2 teens, 2 small children. I tell him that this is a problem, thats just too many people for one of our rooms (max occupancy is 4 per room). He says "who cares, its gonna my problem to deal with". Now, thats fine and dandy, but unfortunately, its still my problem. I told him I cannot rent him one room for 8 people, he would have to get two.

He gets in my face about, and pokes me a couple times in the shoulder with his finger saying "look, I said I will deal with it, its not your problem". I tell him again, That I will not be renting him a room for 8 people. He tells me that we just lost a "good" customer and just as he is about to turn and leave, he SPITS ON ME!!! He missed my face, but his nastiness landed on my sweater. I tell him that I am calling the cops for that, I don't give a shit what day it is and who the hell you are, you are not allowed to spit on me and walk away, thats not how life works. I have his license plate number and know what kind of vehicle it is. He leaves, and like and idiot, goes next door. Cops arrive and I tell them what happened, and that I think he is next door. They go over, he is unloading his crap (guess he got a room there), and cops ask him whats up. He tells them that I spit on him, but surveillance footage shows different. They cuff him and bring him over to the hotel. I identify him as the "spitter". His family comes in behind the cops (spitter is still in the car). His family starts giving me the "you ruined our Thanksgiving" crap. I look at the obvious wife of dumbass spitter, and say "So did your husband make my day better by spitting on me?" She is in disbelief, "he would NEVER do that". I had to show retard that he could, and did. She immediately starts to cry, I am sure she thinks her husband is going to jail.

I am not some heartless person, I made sure the cops just let him go. They know me and my family and help us out of jams at times. I told them that I really just didn't want the tard to get away with it, they understood. The entire family was asked to leave the county and stay in the city or somewhere else.

Never has anyone spit on me, or even tried. I am the one that gives my employees the day off for Thanksgiving, no housekeepers came in today, I helped my Mother clean rooms. No desk clerks came in either, I have been working since 1pm this afternoon, and will probably work a good 14-16 hour shift. Some tard comes in and spits on me, yet I am the one that ruined his Thanksgiving

Hope some of you guys are having a nice Thanksgiving though, even if you are stuck working.

I am so sorry that happened to you. Nobody should have to deal with buttmuches like that guy. I'm glad you called the cops on him, though. Hopefully that put a bit of fear into him so he'll think twice before he tries that crap on someone else.

I read the stories on this site and I am so saddened by how people like Spitting Man treat other people. I'm starting to think my husband is right and that people in general are mostly jerks.

I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving, or what's left of it.

OMG... sheesh.... I guess his wife should spend the day being thankful her eyes were opened to what a truly awful, wretched person her husband and the father of her children is! I can't believe people still do that in this day and age. Thank goodness the police got him and gave him a fright!

It's not that they're mostly jerks, it's just that the jerks stand out so much more than the many pleasant interactions we deal with every day.

Remember there are, as of this post, 2,591 people on this board, from all over the world. Most of them deal with from a few hundred to several thousand people a day, and most only find something story-worthy every few weeks or months (With the notable exception of Kara and GK, but I think they pissed off the Karma Fairy somehow).

        And back ON topic...

I'm glad you called the cops and gave him a scare as well. If people did that more often instead of caving in and giving them what they want all the time, there'd be a LOT more respect for people behind the counter in this world. Personally, though, I would've bounced his sorry ass out the door the minute he laid his hands on me. Poking (and spitting, for that matter) count as assault as far as most states are concerned, and as far as I'm concerned, aggressive physical contact is a fine reason to refuse service... or send the local ER nurses someone to practice their finger-splinting on.

The days been fine. During the afternoon, my parents and I had the hotel to ourselves, and we sat around lobby sitting area and chatted, it was nice.

There are some really friendly people staying at the hotel also, so at least there are some smiling faces around.

I don't see what spitting on me did for him. I mean, is like when monkeys shit themselves and throw the crap around? Spitting on people is an extremely low class thing to do, thats why I never expected it.

Oh well, its done, there is no way for me to know what that moron was thinking when he did that.

Oh, it's basically just a way for them to soil you, make you feel violated and dirty, and generally salve their morale (not to be confused with "morals") after losing an argument, though it can also be used to deliberately goad someone into violence, which is why it was added to the list of things that constitute assault.

Never thought of it that way, makes sense though, like when a couple of people are arguing and one loses, so instead of accepting defeat, he punches the other person in the face.

I'm gonna stick to "you are low class for spitting" even if you drive a $60k SUV.

                What a loser.

Personally I would have let him to go jail to give his wife time to consider just what kind of person she married. I feel sorry for the kids, but if it helped give her time to wisen up and make the right choice, then for her and the kids it'd be better in the end.

You handled that very well. I like to consider myself to be very mature and calm, but if somebody spit on me they would have had a smashed nose. The fact that you did not strike back is amazing. I am glad he got arrested. And if his piece of trash fucktard family thinks he can just spit on you and not get in trouble, and after he does get in trouble, they throw a pity party, they can go to hell. He was garbage. His entire family was garbage. Wow, that story pissed me off and I wasn't even there.

My only advice is to press full charges. Don't get in the "Christmas Spirit" and tell the DA that you will let it go. Let his classless trashy ass sit behind bars. Maybe the bank will repo the Escalade he can't afford.

I agree with taking it further. In fact, in some ways spitting at/on someone is a worse assault that punching them in the face.

At least if someone smacks you in the face, you get the chance to transfer any "body fluid" infections you may have to the assailant. And as for the family suffering, it seems there were 3 other adults involved who could have said "No, trying to cheat our way into a room is a bad example to the kids, it's stealing". Send the bastard to jail overnight, and make everyone learn a lesson.

That's the lowest of the low. I'm glad the cops came and he got his comeuppance.

*is surprised that nobody commented on the guy's car* Since nobody did, it's up to me And yes, I do think he's compensating for something--nearly all the idiots who own those pimp-mobiles act like they're better than everyone, and think they can get away with things. Good call on getting the cops...even if it was to make him sweat a bit.

Let's just hope that asshat learned his lesson. The next employee he does that too may not be as nice as you were to him.
