So I went into work yesterday, and found out our normally scheduled manager is sick today. Replacing her for the night was the owners son. Not he is the general manager but he normally stays in the office.
This man gets easily flustered about things and likes to meddle in our tables. with that said I shall continue the story.
I get a table of four in two adults and their two daughters who are about the age of 10. They put in a large and detailed order. (I dont think what they ordered resembled what was in the menu anymore) you know the I want meal A but I do not want such and such but i want you to add such and such and i would like such and such on the side. and they ordered two salads but wanted two extra plates so they may split it with their daughter sand such.
Note the fact it was a kids eat free day.
I had just finished putting in their order and was about to walk away from the computer when the boss's son comes up to me all freaked out. Thoes people just sent their daughter to me telling me they want their salads NOW. and they dont want their food till after their done with the salads. I say ok and go get their salads. (i have to ring everythign in at once so i have to put in their food order to get a salad from the kitchen)
We have excellent cooks who know how to time things so that people are usually done with salads when their food is up.
The manager told the kitchen that they needed to put the food off for an additional 20 mins. and does not tell me this.
So the very needy people are getting upset.
I realize what the manager did and had to convince the cooks to make the food for me. meanwhile the manager yells at me for not having the food ready making the customers unhappy.
since it was kids eat free night their bill only came to 28 dollars and they left me 3 dollars as a tip. their original bill would have been 43 dollars.
