Just let her go thru the stupid lawsuit. I doubt any judge worth his salt will take the case seriously.

A lawsuit? Just because the bitch thought you were rude?? I'm at a loss.

I've been treated worse by people in the service industry, but I've never felt the need to sue! I just grumble to anyone who cares to listen and then just forget about it.

I should hope so, but unfortunately, there are an awful lot of judges who AREN'T worth their salt!

What an entitlement whore. I'm sorry you had to put up with her abuse, but I'm glad your GM is sticking up for you. Hopefully, the hag's lawyer will laugh his arse off at her before telling her she has absolutely no case whatsoever. Even if it does go all the way to court, hopefully you'll get a super-competent judge who'll give her the vicious scolding she so desperately deserves before making her pay your court costs!

Haha, SO true! That's exactly how it goes for me, and then I'm on my merry way.

I stand by my claim of that woman being a grade-A fucktrumpet.

If I had gotten her an item and she threw it back at me, I'd have assumed she changed her mind and put it back...

Maybe your store should invest in some baskets so customers can carry their stuff and not worry about it getting "stolen"...

Good God! It's not often that my jaw is hanging open as I read a SC story, but this takes the cake! Please come back and let us know if it goes further.

Also, good on your management for not kissing her ass just to shut her up. I firmly believe that's why we have so many SC's in the world today, because alot of times management just gives in to them to get rid of them.

Okay, first off, I've dreamt of women throwing their underwear at me before, but never like that.

Second, the term 'Fucktrumpet' is conjuring up frankly bizarre images in my head.

Third, if this turns into a Vinegar Boy story...

I havent heard anything more about this as of today. I would imagine it was just empty threats. My district manager called and talked to me today and never said anything about it. I think that the company is just willing to let it die as long as she doesnt make it go further.

Maybe the idiot judge who sued the dry cleaners will hear her case. They're kindred spirits.

I started to walk away when she threw (yes threw) the underwear at me...which I caught and she stated
I would immediately stop serving her after this scene in which the bullshit customer demanded the A-shirts. I thought it was funny the part where she thought it was her stuff before she paid for them by placing them on the counter and thinking someone would steal them. About the hello thing If you ever watched crank yankers with the Jack Gravat caller who wouldn't let the lady tell him what the hours are because he would start asking another question, the same with this horseshit bitch when you couldn't greet her because you couldn't answer her question. I refuse to deal with people who act like that and technically I have the right to!

I can't stand it when you try to be nice to customers and they are so rude back.
I was greeted by a chap yesterday when browsing. He was big. He wasn't just big, he was huge. He was one of those guys with a very friendly smile, but the physical capability to tear an arm off without breaking sweat.

"How are you doing?" he asked.

                        "I've got a cold and I need a hug," I whined.

We both stayed a respectful distance apart as he gave one of those big people laughs.

Actually, that dry-cleaner lawsuit judge-guy just lost his seat as a judge because of his actions. It was all over the news. It made me very happy.

Exactly. When I am treated bad by an employee, I may be peeved at the moment, but sooner or later, I forget about it.

But the OP wasn't even a bad employee, which is bizarre. She must be a lonely, sad woman.

Me: "Hi there! How are you today?" Just a friendly greeting, not trying to make her buy crap.
                              SW: "NO! I'm just LOOKING!"
I say that, but more like:

Me: No thanks, I'm just looking.

I know that some folks are commissioned or on some kind of quota. So, if I do want to buy something, I'll find that person again so that they can get credit.

Now, if an aggressive sales person asks me three or four times and I say "no thanks" each time ... that's an entirely different thing. They'll never get my business.
