  • sometimes I ask why me

Sorry I've been gone so long, with power outages here, work, and personal matters haven't been arround much. Any ways a couple of fun ones I wanted to share.

last night this guy calls in saying that the texting on a bill from 2 months ago was too high and there was no way his daughter could have used over 2000 text in a month(lets here the bs in that one). So I'm talking to him and notice for several months the usage was creeping up and shot down this last month. He starts saying that it was his talking to his daughter that did it. What the guy wouldn't let me tell him is that in 4 days his daughter used over 300 texts. So he starts yelling at me saying he is not going to pay and that he wants a sup.
My sup is a great guy and I'm not just saying because he aggrees with us. He gets on the line and starts point out the same things to him plus the texting on the account. The guy keeps rambeling on and on about his daughter can't use that much text since she works and goes to school. Finaly the guy goes you better fix this or I'm not paying. Then releases the call. Yeah like we are going to do what you want because you said so. Guy ends up not getting credits and yelled at us for nothing. Must make him feel good

I'm going to shorten this one, I call it but that's not what the office said:

SC:But the office said I would get unlimited roaming in the United States, with long distance, 4000 minutes, and free nights and weekends after 7 for 59.99. Why was I charged for roaming?

Me:Well sir first of all the 59.99 plan you have covers 90% of the us and you are paying to get the nights/weekneds starting at 7, and 900 day time minutes. And you were traveling in Canada which would occur charges.

SC:How was I to know that if I was there I would be charged for it.

Me:Because Canada is out of the US.

SC:Shouldn't the office have told me this?I think I deserve a credit.
(he only got it because I didn't feel like calling for a sup due to I didn't feel like bothering with the one on duty it was about 20 something).
I think I had a similiar post like this before if I did sorry for the repeat

The hightlight of my day is the vast ammount of calls I get from all over the us. I find that 60 percent of my calls are from the south and I have to deal with this comment. (by the way I have nothing against anyone from the south)/

I don't think you can help me, you sound like your from the north, and I have a hard time understandin you folks.

Final thought, people need to keep their thoughts to themselves. This guy had called in gripping about his billing and I asked him if there was anything else I could help him with. He goes yeah tell your boss I don't think it's right you people have that automated voice thing in English and spanish, it should be in engish only. (all thoughts by customers are not indorced by twolf and only posting because not only did this one suck but should be more carefull with who he is talking to)

only 2000? She's an amateur compared to my daughter. I thank God for the day I added unlimited texting to my plan.

Really, how stupid(or arrogant) do you have to be to think Canada is part of the USA?

That reminds me of a tshirt I saw the other day:

    Canada - America's Hat
with a pic of the USA wearing a big red hat shaped like Canada.

I think if I was Canadian that shirt would really piss me off.

Imagine the whining from people when that many native Spanish speakers join our population.

I used to work for a voice mail developer writing code ... oh my, some of the tech support guys got earfulls from folks who hated that, by default (you could turn it off), the system offered 1 for English, 2 for Spanish.

I'm not really biased whne it comes to most groups, just stupid people who have to be asshats about everything. Personally I grew up in a town that was 45-50% hispanic so it doesn't bother me. The only thing that really drives me nuts is when someone calls in claiming to be someone else and you can hear them talking to the other person thne translating what they say. But like Kara said you have to take their word on it.

After the last U.S. presidential election, I appreciated the map that listed California (my state) as part of the United States of Canada (as opposed to being part of Jesusland).

Some day, I hope to live in the greatest country in the world, Canada. (You'd have to watch Nickelodeon to get that reference.)

I think if Canada were to become part of America, Quebec would vote "OUI" on separation so fast, they'd take Maine with 'em!

I think they'd take Vermont first Needless to say, I wouldn't have any problem with that at all

Jeez, I hope not. We have enough problems with getting people to understand that New Mexico is a state! Can you imagine the problems we'd have then?

I can sort of understand that, but only if it's a matter of stupid programming, not simply because Spanish is available. Here's the "stupid programming" example I ran into a couple days ago (English/French - Canada's 2 official languages):

I called a business, and their automated system gave a long speech promoting some of their products (repeat in French), then "Press 1 for English, 2 for French, or if you have a rotary dial phone, remain on the line and someone will assist you" (repeat in French). After taking care of my issue, I suggested that they could improve customer service, and reduce the time each customer tied up one of their phone lines, by switching to "Welcome to companyname. Press 1 for English, 2 for French, or if you have a rotary dial phone...." (repeat in French), then give the long speech only in the language they selected, with the bilingual long speech only for rotary dial customers (since you can't tell which language they'd prefer until they talk to a human)..
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.
