  • Please take a bath.

We have a regular customer, he comes in every Tuesday like clockwork, orders the same meal like clockwork and also leaves the same smell like clockwork.

I am not kidding you when I say that you can smell this guy before you see him. The smell actually haunts me sometimes. Last night, a co-worker dry heaved when she had to take his food out to him. Another customer came up to the bar and complained because the bar smelt like "sewage or something worse" and it was him!

I've had to take this up with my manager. He seriously needs to either take a bath or get barred because other customers were leaving because of him!

So, why can't your establishment refuse service to a person like this? I think I already know the answer though. The spineless managers are afraid of getting a bad rap and having this guy go somewhere else, let alone tell all of his friends that he was treated badly for smelling like ass! It's a common practice of any business. No matter how problematic the same customers are over and over again, the customer always wins because the business is afraid of losing money.

I also think telling a person to bathe is more common to employees than to customers. If employees refuse, they can be fired, therefore saving a company lots of money in the end there.

I swear, people have done something very bad to their noses when they reek like that and can't smell themselves.

If you smell so strongly of anything that I can smell you before you're there aor after you're gone, you must wash.

FYI there is a rare skin or hormonal condition that causes a person to emit a very foul odor. If the person seems very clean cut (appears washed and groomed, clothes are clean, etc.) then this may be the case.

There was as gentleman that used to take Karate from my step dad, we where in the same class, he was one of the nicest guys I had ever meet. Man did this guy stink, he had flies that would follow him around where ever he went. He always smelled like major body oder or worse. When we had to pair up for partner work everyone would dread being paired with this guy. So when christmas came around my step dad bought each of the students a gift basket of body washes and shampoos. I knew the real reason he did it was because he figured it would offend this guy to only give him shampoo and give everyone else real gifts and everyone else would understand as well.

The good new was he smelled decent for about a month then the flies came back. lol

i had a friend who had some medical condition like that. he was super nice and always bathed/showered... he just smelled like he took a crap in his pants. He was finally able to get medical help for it tho, cos i know it really bothered him.

what sucks is when it's lifestyle and not medical - such as a gal i knew who smelled like ....sweaty panties. like when you go workout hard and go home and go "pew those gotta get in the wash *now*". Imagine that smell walking around. You could recognize her without even seeing her.... *sniff sniff* (IEW) "Hi, T." "Hi" (yuck yuck yuck...) Someone had to pull her aside to explain hygiene or something like that to her.

Believe me, from the look of this guy, it is NOT medical

We have a few that come in and smell, but mostly in the summer.

Theres one that makes you almost puke. I keep telling my boss that I am going to spray that one with the air freshener we buy every spring. He just laughs and tells me I cant do that. I always tell him ok but when I puke all over the counter he can clean it.

Back when I was a student at community college, some class or other made us attend a lecture about attending school. The school's philosophy teacher got up at one point to talk, and he said, completely out of nowhere, "Brush your fucking teeth, change your god damned socks, and take a fucking shower!"
                      Or something to those effects.
Shock value, I suppose, because we were definitely talking about it after the lecture. I want to say he got in some trouble for having done so.

One of the former employee's, at my current 9-5, called what this dude had "Peak Reek". He had reached his most rotten smell and could not go any further.

To fix his "Peak Reek" the over boss put him with my current unter-boss, Mr. Know-It-All. Mr Know-It-All proceeded to berate and torment the guy till he broke down. It only took 7 hours!

The next morning he was bathed, and carried an extra stick of deoderent and a change of clothes, just in case.

You know, it always kills me that management can tell employees that they stink and are offending customers/co-workers/small animals with their odor, yet when a customer stinks to high-heaven, everyone just has to deal with it.

One of the women who works in the cash office stinks to high heaven. It's so bad people can't stand to be in the office after she leaves because the smell will just hang there.

The other cash office people have taken to putting Glade plug-ins in the office, or spraying it with air freshener after she's gone.

I would spray it while she was in there. Then say DAMN SOMETHING STINKS!!!

Thats my plan come this summer when the stinky guy comes in again.
He goes dumpster diving to buy cheap little cigars and cheap snuff. He comes in soaking wet and the stink is killer...

BTW we had a guy who worked with us, he stunk and some days it got so bad I just came out and said "hey take a bath tonight man".
