    I was banished from a blog

    I gotta get this off my chest.


    I was banished from a blog.

    Yes, really.

    What did I do wrong? I supported employees and the business world.

    Gasp. Terrible.

    It was one of those "pro- consumer" blogs.

    We all know the type.

    The articles ranged from "how to screw over a CSA and get her fired" to "I pulled one over on THE Man and his wife cried" to my all time favorite "how to get stuff for free and laugh at the vendor"

    I just hate the entitlement whores and vultures that commented on the blog and I would make "constructive" comments.

    Truly the comments were constructive..... I really tried.

    But I was banished for not being "pro consumer"

    Oh get F****** real.

          I don't see it being free advertising when I wouldn't be supporting them :P

            We'd all go and leave comments about how the real world works. Eventually the SCs in charge of the site would get sick of banning people, and might even shut the shite down.

              Yeah, maybe its time we took a stand against these types of people. The more people who stand up against these people the more they will be backed into a corner. So share the site so we can share our collective wisdom.
              Am I sad because I am looking forward to the day when the people I will be dealing with will no longer be able to talk back?

                I agree but at the risk of starting a flame war maybe we should just ignore them. Besides I dont think it would do any good lol, they are infact SC's

                    Some time back, there was an ATV or Cycle store that was having a draw down to give away an ATV.

                    I am familiar with the city (got family there) and had read (online) about the event in the local paper after family told me about the event. Small town USA. This is a major event in the town and the turn out was well over 1000 people.

                    Anyhow, the store is having a draw down. How that works is the store gives away a bunch of free stuff as they draw names. T-shirts, soda huggies and the like. Mostly sponsor donations. 10 or so lucky drawn names will be given a key to the big prize which was the ATV or Cycle. ONE of those keys will turn on the ATV or whatever, while the other 9 keys gets to go home with more free low value stuff or maybe a couple $.

                    The store is paying for the big prize. Maybe there is some manufacturer kickins, but mostly it is the store that pays for the prize.

                    Well the store knows which key is the good key. Maybe the key is painted silver and the other keys are regular colors. Whatever, the store knows. A store employee was suppose to create 10 keys. 9 bad keys and 1 good key. Or maybe the keys were suppose to be made by the manufacturer.

                    Keys are f*****up. All 10 keys are good.

                    Oops. Conference time. Store talks to manufacturer rep. Store talks to lawyer. Store talks to 10 key holders. 10 key holders vote. The 10 key holders ALL agree to accept $1000 versus a 1 in 10 chance of getting the ATV through a lottery or game of chance. $1000 is below the income tax mandatory reporting level, so that is $1000 tax free to each of the 10 key holders. Store donates the cycle or ATV to a charity. Everybody in the town is happy. 10 key holders are happy. Store owner dodges a big one and is happy.


                    Then the blogs started in.

                    Screaming for the owner of the store to be disembowled and his wife burned at the stake for being a witch. Key holders were ENTITLED to free ATV or whatever. ENTITLED damnit. Each one.

                    I had never read such vulgar thoughts.

                    So I joined the blog and posted my comment. Something to the effect that only ONE cycle or ATV had been promised and the 10 key holders choose to accept an alternative prize that was of value to them versus 9 of them walking away with a t-shirt.

                    You would have thought I had spit upon the Holy Mother.

                    Wannabe lawyers that had failed to pass the bar in the past 19 tries were citing case law from the 1800's that had been overturned by more recent court rulings.

                    And the other blog posters were talking of castrating me and burning my children for being the spawn of the devil.

                    Well, might not have been quite that bad, but it was pretty close.



                    I don't know I was able to stay on the blog as long as I did.

                          Ah! I bet I know that blog because it's bound to be the same one where the middle class mooing herds went nuts on me for daring to say that Disneyworld that ignored my ADA accommodation and damn near killed me in their hotel. I got similar threats and all sorts of oddball ranting emails proclaiming I must be a hateful commie or something to have it in for Disney while the rest of them were ranting about how the manager of whatever store needed to be drawn and quartered for failing to anticipate their need for something foolish, like extra chocolate bunnies moments before Easter.

                            Just a reminder that we have a policy here that says:

                            Don't start fights on other sites in the name of this board. If it can be proven that someone has started to throw crap around somewhere else, we reserve to right to bring down the weight of this board on them.
                            While the members may not be naming this board when they cross over to post on that blog, the very fact that someone may have posted in a thread on our site and incited others to band together and go post wildly in retaliation, could be taken as starting crap on another board.
                            Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

                              Dang, that sounds like a scary blog. I wouldn't be surprised if they promoted stalking and terrorizing the store owners to get what you want.
