Ug. Pitch Black 2 was even worst. There was a reason why it was only .50 cents at my place for a bit. Even then we still had to send CASES back. No-one wanted it. Not even at that price for a .20 oz.
I'll agree that Pitch Black II was a crime against humanity. I'll never understand why PepsiCo thought sour grape was a good soda flavor. The original was great though. It was actually grape flavored, rather than purple flavor that gets passed off as grape. It was also the ultimate late night pick-me-up for our gaming group. My gaming buddies would even call each other when we found stock at stores after they discontinued it. It was almost like Kestral's obsession with Booberry in Queen of Wands.

      Purple is a flavor ?

(I totally understand what you mean, but it just sounds... weird).

What, you've never had Red before? It's packaged as 'Cherry Kool-Aid'.

Oh, and am I the only one that thought "...and the snozzberries taste like snozzberries," there?

Well, in our barren lands where you trip on a museum doorstep every two steps, we don't have Kool-Aid, nor Mountain Dew. I don't know what a Jolt or a Bawl is. Red Bull is only beginning to appear on the Dept. Store shelves, and it still doesn't have taurine, only arginine.

Most brands you can name, I probably never heard of them.

But then I guess Orangina isn't that known outside France.

Oh, God. I never noticed how this brand wasn't fit for exportation. It's sold in the UK, though. Their last ad campaign was pretty... creative. It would have created riots in the US, I'm sure.

Look up "Naturally Juicy" on YouTube to know what I mean.

Don't feel too bad. My current gaming group has turned my mind a lovely shade of filthy, and now I pick up on a lot more innuendo. It's quite fun actually.

Yes, but you're not supposed to pick innuendo where there isn't ! Orangina is a perfectly family friendly carbonated beverage, with actual oranges in it ! How... How could you ? The mental image... It burns us !

Still, I guess I was right : you've never heard of it before ?

But I can't think of any other carbonated beverage that aren't sold outside France... You guys have Schweppes and Fanta, right ? Gini ?

It reminds me : is Canada Dry even sold in Canada ?

Yes. We just don't drink it.

We got an unopened bottle in the fridge downstairs from Christmas 06.
Now would be a good time to visit So Very Unofficial!

have you tried the three new flavors? awesomeness in a 20 oz bottle
I've tried the Blue Raspberry. Now I drink upwards of 3 or 4 regular Mt Dew cans a day with no side effects, and that stuff made me twitch. I want more.

Hey, Schweppes Ginger Ale is awesome! I grab some occasionally when the mood takes me. And no, I'd never heard of Orangina before--but I've never let that impede a dirty mind before.

Besides, it can't compete with some of the oddball stuff my friends import from Japan. You haven't lived until you have eaten snacks that have cutesy-looking cartoon animals sodimizing each other on the package.

He didn't show us the package until after we had eaten the snack, the bastid.

Schweppes Ginger Ale ? I don't think we have this one. Schweppes is originally an Indian Tonic water, and we have some variants (Lemon, Citrus, Peach, Coconut), but no Ginger Ale.

Finding a real Ginger Ale around here is quite hard, and Canada Dry ginger ale doesn't cut it any more, since I've tasted the real stuff.

Check the alchohol isles also, as I've seen it there (near the seltzer water) for mixing drinks before, although I have no idea what you would mix ginger ale with.

I had ginger beer the other day. Strong stuff--about burned my lips off.

                              EDIT** Bonus linky. Enjoy!

My godfather used to mix Canada Dry ginger ale with cognac. Very refreshing mix, but quite treacherous.

Also, according to the French site, the Schweppes Ginger ale is new around here; Can't wait to taste and compare it with others. And I've jusy seen one of my favorite carbonated beverages when it gets far too hot : Ricqlès. Powerful mint flavor, best served ICY.
