This was from a few weeks ago. Our DM, his boss, and our managers had just toured our store. Over all they were very pleased, neat, organized, clean, almost all (98%) of product in stock, etc. while they are in the store a SC stomps up to them. The SC is whining, the store is a mess, it is filthy, absolutely filthy, everything i need is out of stock. I can't find anything, no employees around. They ask the SC to give specific examples of the "filthy" store. The only example she gave was some custoemr had pulled off a extra bag from our meat case (to put the meat packages in so they don't leak on groceries) and left one bag in the case.
Well the try to calm he down but, she says she will buy her groceries today and NEVER return to any of out stores. The managers actually realized that is lady was nut and had some issue and let it go. About an hour and a half after she left, the SC called the corporate customer service number. In one call she made 12 complaints. The lines were too long, filthy, no restrooms for custoemr use
, the list went on. They tried to contact her, but the numebr she left was for one of our competitors stores.
This incident was relayed to employees in case she returns.
Well, a week later the same bitch comes in. This time I was the first employee she found.
SC: Hey! You store dosen't care about customers!
Me: Is their any specific reason tha tI can let the manages know how to improve the store?
SC: No! Well, maybe.
Me: Ok.
SC: If a custoemr complains, at least call them back, espically if they ask.
Me: *Oh crap, it's you* Would you like to talk to a manager?
SC: Yes.
Me: I will get one right away. *i pick up the phone and have the manger call me to explain who it is and what she said so they are prepared when they arrive* Ma'am, Mr. so and so will be over in one minute.
SC: How dare you call me that you little punk! *Ok, what do you want me to call you "hey bitch!"
Thirty seconds later....
SC: Hellooooooooooo. Anyone work her with brains? Helllooooooooo.
Me: Can I help you?
SC: don't lie to me! You didn't call the manager.
Me: I did call Mr. X. He was in the back and was coming right away. If you just give him a minute....
SC: stop lying!! call him! I demand a smart manager! *SC stomps feet on ground*
I go and call the manger (about two aisles away) tell manager what SC is now saying. The manager arrives, and the SC whines and moans for about 15 minutes before stomping out. We later discover she had a carriage with 6 1/2 gallon containers of ice cream she left behind. The SC went home and called corporate again. This time we were worse. Basically the same as before, except our meat was not sotres in the refrigerate case, just on the unrefrigerated shelves(not just a package some SC dumped, but she meant all of it), it was too hot, I was rude, every employee she talked to was rude, she never saw an employee, it was too cold outside(yes, se complied about the temperature in the parking lot) and some more.
The only thing I aggree with is the temperature in the store. It is a little warm, espically if you are working. Se finally decided she would not come back unless we give her gift cards. The DM decided to ignore and not give out gift cards, just a generic "thank you for you comments letter, we will investigate the issues" which came back undeliverable. Despite not getting gift cards the SC came back and only bought a soda fro the front end coolers. This was wrong also as the soda was cold. Again she promised to not return.
