I'd have looked her dead in the eye and immediately start singing 99 Red Ballons out loud in it's original German and ask her if she wanted to hear the OTHER songs in my head.

And the other songs are in Japanese.

And are really VERY annoying.

The original German is the only way to hear/sing 99 Luftballons.

Stories like this one make me glad I'll be leaving "customer service" in a year.....and entering healthcare. Not too sure if that's an improvement, though.

Last time this happened to me I looked her in the eye and said "I didn't know you were a woman."

Wow, and I didn't even know I had multiple personalities. I do that too.

I'm also fond of, "I get the door because I am a gentleman, not because I believe you to be a lady."

*$M: Well this lady is really upset and I need you to go and apologize.

*$M: Ok from now on just watch what you're saying around customers.
Me: But I didn't say anything!!!
*$M: I know just be carefully what you say from now on.

Gee - I had flashbacks to the Vinegar Boy story just there.

Stories like these are why I didn't get accepted into Starbucks. My brain would go insane from the spinelessness.
