Owner: Yea Dave, I own one of the Surfsong villas and there is a black family in my villa., I want them removed immediately

Me: Ma'am I cant do that

Owner: I dont want black people in my villa. They wont take care of it and besides that they stink to high heaven

Me: Ok well we cant throw them out because they're black

Owner: WHY NOT?

Me: um because that is highly illegal

Owner: But I am the owner

Me: I know you are but thats housing discimination and its illegal

Owner: I wouldnt have come on your rental program if I knew you rented to black people. This just aint right. I may have to go back to Sandcastle rentals (Sandcastle is the name of another agency on the island).

Does the story end there? Of course not

So the guests called and said the owner showed up and told them to leave because their kind wasnt welcome in her house. I sent the police down there and the very next day, my manager kicked her off the program.

I'm pretty sure the owner's a woman. If she's found to have violated Civil Rights laws I'm pretty sure that she'll be put out of business, of course she could always be sneaky.

I'd guess it goes above the rental policies right to country level of "You're not allowed to do this!"
