Guy=CS
Me=
I'm answering phones
CS: I need Quitman Adult Daycare
Me: *waits for what he needs; the phone number, the tax info., me to go to Quitman Adult Daycare, what? But I go with my gut*.....you need their phone number?
CS: yeah.
Me: one moment please
I look it up in the phone book and a database that would give me phone numbers. Not finding it. I get back on the phone.
Me: You said "Quitman Adult Daycare?"
CS: yes
Me: Sorry they are not listed.
CS: You can't find Quitman Adult Daycare?
Me: They are not listed.
CS: Did you try Quitman Adult Clinic?
Me: I only found Quitman liquor and Quitman Dry Cleaning.
now there is a long silence
CS: But I know their name! I know they there!
Me: You can call 411
long silence
Me: I have to go to the next call.
I hate people saying "can you give me *name of person/place*" or "I need *name of person/place*" instead of asking "can I have the phone number/address of..."
Ah, the guy called back now. My co-worker is looking it up and not finding it.
But yeah, arguing with me about something you saw and I can't find? I'm not saying it doesn't excist but then I will say you must have the name wrong if you keep on insising.
And yes, people call the library instead of looking up phone numbers in the phone book.
