A coworker of mine left last week to move on to a different job, quite frankly I don't think she was super happy working with us, she always clashed with the management.
So today one of her customers who is obviously upset comes back looking for her and well....
SC: I need to speak to J!
Me: J is no longer with the company I'm afraid.
SC: Did that bitch get fired?
Me: That's none of your business sir. May I ask what the problem is?
SC: J screwed up my account, my bill has been high for the last two months and I'm not paying another red cent until it get fixed.
Me: Well I'll do my best to take care of it.
SC: I don't want you to do your best, just FIX IT!
Me: (I start perusing his bill, I do see a few things where credit could be justified)
SC: And just how do I know you won't screw me over too?
Me: I just told you I'd do my best to correct the problems sir.
SC: That sounds like the same bullshit she fed me the first time. "Don't worry sir, I'll have it all taken care of for you" and so on. Personally I think all of you at this store are a bunch of useless bullshit artists that don't really give a rat's ass about people like me. I only came back here because I was hoping J would still be here and I could rip her a new one for what she did to me but now I get stuck with you who may or may not know how to do his job.
Me: I can do my job sir and I can do it well.
SC: Sure, when your job is screwing your customers repeatedly!
Me: I will have to call customer service to see if I can get these credits done for you.
(I hop on the phone and do manage to get some credits taken care of for him, but he has large amounts of data use on each of his two lines that he claims to know nothing about. Customer service refuses to credit for that).
Me: Ok sir, I am on with CS now, they credited you for A,B and C and you new balance is $XXX.XX
SC: Why is it still so fucking high?
Me: Well they are refusing to credit the data use charges on your lines, they say those are valid and you need to pay them.
SC: The hell I am! I'm not leaving this store until those charges are OFF my bill.
Me: Sir only customer service can remove them, I am at the mercy of the phone rep, if she does not want to credit you I cannot override her.
(At that point he motions for me to give him the phone, which I do)
This should be good...
Now I could only hear his end of the convo and it went like this:
SC: Yeah this is Mr. X, why aren't you crediting those damned charges?
SC: Neither myself or the other person on my account have used any data services, I asked him when I first got the bill.
SC: You can't bill me for what I've never used fuckwad!
SC: Look AKMED (this was not the rep's name, she was female but obviously foreign, she spoke perfect english albeit with an accent) I just want my fucking credit or I am taking you people to court and, if at all possible, putting you and all your towelhead friends out of jobs!
(a moment of silence, SC looks at me)
SC: That stupid whore hung up on me! Call them back!
(I was reluctant to do that again, at this point manager L who been in his office and listening in on this whole thing decides to make an appearance)
L: No that won't be happening sir. We've done as much as we are going to do for you today. Please leave this store now.
SC: Are you the manager?
L: Yes.
SC: Then why can't you get me my fucking credit?
L: Well let's see you have been rude since you came in here, you have been harassing my staff and making racial comments towards other employees of this company. If you are going to treat my staff and company that way I have no choice but to ask you to leave and not come back.
SC: Fuck you! I'm the customer! You have to help me, it's in your Corporate Code!
(Both L and I give each other WTF looks?)
L: You are correct in that we are to provide customer service, but we also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone we want. That's in the code too sir. (Note: there is no code, but what L said is official policy)
SC: To hell with that, I am NOT leaving until this bill is fixed. *sits down at one of our tables*
L: Very well sir, you leave me no choice. (He picks up the phone reciever but does not dial, SC is not at a vantage point to see this) Yes I need an officer here immediately, I have a rude, angry individual causing trouble in my store, I've asked him to leave but he refuses so I want to formally charge him with trespassing and have him forcefully removed from the store if need be.
(SC takes notice of the conversation and locks eyes with L)
L: You can have someone here in a few minutes? Fantastic, our address here is (he starts to give the address, but the SC finally starts to head for the door)
SC: Ok fine, whatever, I'm going, but let me tell you something shitface, this isn't over.
L informs me that SC is now permanently banned from the store and we are to call the police immediately if he so much as sets one foot through the door again.
I hope he never comes back.
