Today, the first customer won a little money on a scratch off. He believed that he won more money than what came up. I let him know that I needed to go by what the computer said. He was so insistant that he won the amount he claimed. I offered to get a manager and called the FEM's name and she was with another customer so I had to wait until she was done. Luckily, the customer figured out the game and realized the amount that came on the ticket that printed out was right.
Another customer insisted that she should've gotten more money back than she did. I showed her on the receipt where the amount automatically took off and mentioned that a coupon took off the rest of the amount. I even totalled it on the calculator. Eventually, she understood that she was charged the right amount.
