  • VILE passenger

I need to vent about a vile bitch on my flight today.

Straight away on boarding she shoved her boarding card in my face, was pretty rude to start with.

Then wanted a blanket and pillow during the safety demo.

Made me describe the breakfast...she didn't know what hash browns were or what a tomato was. Then she said "well I don't want that," and said it was disgusting despite everyone else eating theirs, some passengers even telling me how the meal was!

No please or thanks or any acknowledgement at all for any drinks etc Just "I want, I want."

Came in the galley demanding we heat her noodles for her...in the microwave. Explained we didn't have a microwave....she wanted the plastic bag to go in the oven...gave her a hot cup of water then she threw a hissy fit saying she wanted a bowl to eat her plastic noodles in So we gave her a used meal foil tray and made her wash it out. She tried to open the oven to put them in herself and started to mess around with all the shiny buttons...

My collegue bless him was trying to be nice and made up a tray for her with her noodles, salad and crackers and all she said was "that's better." No thanks or anything. THEN she came in the galley and pointed at my crew meal and said "what's that?" and tried to take it! I grabbed it off and her and said it was my crew meal and she said she wanted it! I was pretty pissed off and took my tray and went and sat in the back galley to eat in peace.

It was a very quiet flight so pulled the curtains and sat down to read a glossy mag and prima donna came in and asked for my magazine. I just said that it was my own personal magazine and handed her a newspaper instead.

She kept staring at me during landing and asked for drinks or something but I pointed at the seatbelt sign and moved around in my jumpseat behind the bulkhead to avoid her gaze.

Then she had the nerve to say 'bye' to me at the end of the flight, the nicest thing she said all flight. I was so mad I had to turn away and didn't bother answering her back.

    Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhh
    No longer a flight atttendant!

Somebody ought to have said, like my mum always did to me "I want doesn't get."

And WTF? In what world is it OK to demand the impossible, and play at random with things you don't understand and shouldn't be touching in the first place, since they're IN THE STAFF AREA? Customers are just hardwired different to us I guess.

I admire you for being so measured and restrained.

Why didn't you roll up the magazine and whomp her over the head like a bad doggy?

THWACK! "No! I said No. Sit! Stay! You will get a treat if you behave! Stay!"

      heheh

"I'm the passenger! Give me YOUR food! MINE! Give it NOW!"

... is it really illegal to open the doors while in flight to dispose of passengers... I mean critter infestations...

Wow, you have a lot more patience than I have... I would have accidentally opened the outer door for her telling her it's the lavatory... after all those two doors do look so much alike... it was an honest mistake

On the way back from the flight the pax were all ill and coughing and spluttering. Ewwwwwww. I constantly used the antibacterial hand gel.

I would have told her to get the hell out of the galley as its a staff only area. Slapped her hands as she reached for my food, that or stabbed a fork into her hand. No one comes between me and my food.

*hands katie a big wooden spoon* here, now whack those impertinent hands with confidence and gusto, courtesy of chained enterprises.

seriously, i wish they had security on planes to handle idiots like this, to keep them in line and a holding room for those who refuse to comply, much like an airborne jail.

                    well, i can wish, can't i?
                    look! it's ghengis khan!
Sorry, but while I can do many things, extracting heads from anuses isn't one of them. (so sayeth the irv)

i wonder if telling her that interfering with a flight crews duties is a violation of the air regulations and is punishable by fines and jail time

(far 121.580 us federal aviation regulations)

or if you will :If a member of crew deems your behaviour disruptive, they have the right to take measures they think reasonable to prevent you continuing your behaviour. When the aircraft lands, their actions may include:

                      * Making you leave the aircraft and possibly under Police escort
                      * Refusing to carry you on the remaining sectors of the journey shown on your ticket
                      * Reporting the incident on board the aircraft to the relevant authorities with a view to them prosecuting you for any criminal offences you might have committed.

Serious offences carry a large fine and/or imprisonment.

This was exactly what I was wondering about when I read your horror story. Sorry You had to deal with such a loser on your flight.

I was going to comment on this, but by the time I got to the part where the lady demand's the TC's food and personal belongings, I completely forgot about the tomato.

Seriously, how bitchy do you have to be to demand the food other people are eating?
