Ok, so, I've posted a few stories indicating that me and kids don't mix so well. It's not (entirely) my fault. Mostly, it's bad mood+sucky parents or other such factors. Anywho... got a couple of nice and bad stories involving kids I thought I'd share.
A Memorable B-Day
This poor boy...I go in to work around 5 on Saturday and see two cop cruisers parked in front. Now, I dunno about you, but that's not what I want to see when I go in to work. I tentatively walk in and ask the Door Agent what happened. He explains that a little boy got left behind, we haven't been able to find his parents for hours. So the cops got called. They eventually take the boy to CPS (Child Protective Services) and the parents show up 6 HOURS LATER!!! To make it worse, the boy's 5th B-day was Sunday: Happy b-day kid, hope you wished for new parents...sigh

So, kinda bad for me, but the kids kinda deserved it too. I'd been working all day trying to recover the men's dept., and I wasn't being very successful. So, that was kinda annoying, plus, I kept having to tell kids not to do stuff they shouldn't, because I'm one of the few who does.
These kids were playing in the cart corral, and I told them to stop. I walk away, and not a minute later as I walk back, I see them playing in it again.
me: Excuse me! WHAT did I just say?
kids:

I'm sorry, but not that sorry. I mean, I did warn them. They just happened to be the last straw on this poor camel's back...

One night, a ways back...I was at CS, again. There's a little girl that keeps playing around the 'island,' but her mom is close by so I don't really mind. She starts talking to me, and is peeking from behind the countertop (crouching, she wasn't that little). Later on, I'm putting hangars up, and I spill a few. So what does little girl do? She picks up hangars and hangs them. She was such an
helping me clean up my register, too. And we kept doing a little 'hide-and-seek' thing from the register. I'd been having a crummy day, but that just made me
